With a Heavy Heart...
I realized I haven't updated my blog in a few days & I am sad that this is the first update. On Thursday night, a friend & sorority sister of mine was murdered by her ex-boyfriend. She had dated him for about 5 years and had broken up with him a few months ago. He didn't take the break-up very well & when she finally changed her relationship status on Facebook, that was the last straw for him. He went to her home and, from what we can tell, when she answered the door, he shot her multiple times. Her 7-year-old son & 12-year-old niece were in her home at the time, and even if they didn't see the incident occur, they were the first to see her body. Before the police could catch up with him on Friday, he killed himself. There have been many things said & lots that have stuck with me.
