Personal Challenge: Graduation Card & Summer Journal

I got started on my personal challenge and was able to use 4 Cricut cartridges between the two projects. The first is a graduation card for my little cousin. Last Saturday, he graduated from Kindergarten and I decided that I couldn't attend the event empty handed.

I used my Cricut Design Studio software to create his name & the "2010" for the card. I used images & fonts from Everyday Paper Dolls & the Calligraphy Collection for this & I decided to use a graduate for the "A" in his name to make it that much cuter!


The second project is a Summer Journal for my daughter. I used Design Studio again to lay out my design. I used Everyday Paper Dolls, Forever Young, & A Child's Year. I was also able to use my YourStory to bind the book & I am now officially hooked on creating books!!

I will continue to work on completing my challenge - I believe it is 4 down & 40 to go LOL! I'll be keeping this updated in my "Personal Challenge Checklist" to the left.

I have a plan & I need your help to make it happen. I am on a journey to reach 250 followers. I promised that when I reached 250 followers, I would give away a Cricut cartridge. Well, I am holding to that promise & I am taking it up a notch. SO FAR , I have 2 cartridges to give away - brand new, in the package, reward points in tact, never synced to a Gypsy. So, the plan is this - when I reach 250 followers , I will use a giant bowl (easiest method with all the entries I hope to get) to pick the lucky winner who will get to choose which of the 2 cartridges they would like to have. If I reach 350 followers in that same week , I will pick another winner and they will get to have the other cartridge. Sounds fair enough right? So how do you win? 1. Using all the Cricut Cartridge Images - even the catridges you don't have!

A little while ago I figured out a way to utilize the entire Cricut cartridge library without owning all of the cartridges. I posted a few pictures & promised to come back with the details – and here they are! … interested in hearing more? Well read on to learn how to get this wonderful Elmo image & many more! To do this wonderful trick, you start with your desired image in Design Studio. Here, I am working with an Elmo image from Sesame Street Friends. Here is the base for Elmo. I right-clicked on the mat to change the preview color to black. I added a layer (reordering it to be placed in front of the base layer by right-clicking and selecting "Page Order") using the "Body/White" function key to add Elmo's fur. Vision Board 2019

"I was gone but now I'm back!" ( Back in My Bag , Aha Gazelle) It has been a while since I have posted & I think I am happy to be back! I am trying to commit myself to posting here went to start, so please bear with me as I get into my rhythm & flow. This first post is inspired by my recent love for podcasts & planning. I was listening to one of my favorite podcasts & was reminded that I hadn't done a vision board for this year yet. I also realized that last year, I didn't do anything at all around my vision, so I needed to remedy that.
